I am having some difficulty finding anyone to look at my semi-dead skidoo. The one mechanic that everyone told me to talk to is currently on a sealing vessel somewhere in the Labrador sea. Poo. And so, the machine sits in my yard, too close to the front stairs to be convenient, and waits for the tender hands of a qualified mechanic...
Grrrrr.
In other news, the reunion plans are coming along. I have to put another ad in the paper to get those slackers who haven't RSVP'd to get their registrations in! Oh, wait...I am one of those slackers! OMG! (Note to self: mail the damned RSVP that has been stuck to the fridge for a month!)
Things at the ol' office are slowing down tremendously! With the great weather and fear that the ice will soon leave us, clients are taking advantage of the opportunity to "go off". This it the local expression for anyone going anywhere to fish. At first, it was a little alarming to hear clients say there were going to "go off" on the weekend ... I was wondering if I should alert the authorities! Now, I find myself saying it too, much to the delight of the locals.
Carolynn is subbing all week at the school - grade fives. Even though it isn't her chosen field, it is a good opportunity for her to meet some friends other than the people I introduce her to - and there haven't been many of those, I can tell you!
I f anyone can tell me how to repair a busted chain drive, I'd be happy to give it a go myself!
