The good news - our windscreen is due to arrive today. This is the NEW windscreen that Provincial Airlines Cargo purchased to replace the one they took off the snowmobile when they sent the machine up, and subsequently lost. Yay!
The "what the hell?" news is that when I got home last night, there were a bunch of skidoos parked in front of the neighbour's house, so I didn't back into my new regular spot. This meant that I was about a foot closer to Pipun (our youngest dog) when I parked. I didn't think it was that big a deal, as I was just going to run in the house, get the dog food ready and then bring all the creatures inside to eat. I went and got the dishes and the food (no more than five minutes to do that) and when I looked out the window, Pipun was having a go at the skidoo seat. It is now ripped and has a fist-sized chunk missing from the corner. Honestly, I couldn't believe it!
This morning, Pipun defied me again when she broke her tie-out chain (heavy gage clothesline) and was on the lamb for about an hour. She did come home - but man, is it ever difficult to praise a dog that has defied you for an hour when they finally decide to do what you want! I managed and she is now in the house - probably terrorising the cats or something!
